I'm trying to transcribe the word "ciudad" but.
I know this is really dumb but I can't figure out how to transcribe the word "ciudad" (like into [] brackets) for a homework assignment. Can anyone help me? This is what I have, but apparently it's wrong: [Өiudád]

I'm well aware of that. I mean TRANSCRIPTION not translation. Like the pronunciation symbols? i.e. "comer" = [ko mér]

That would probably be right, but my teacher only wants us to use these symbols:

    β δ ɣ ŕ ñ č ʎ I̯ u̯ ŋ ɱ n̪ l̪ Ө y̌ ʃ ʒ ʁ

We never use Æ or anything like that...
Thank you though for helping :)
