    Legally separated or divorced?
I married my wife in my parents back yard.
We only lived together for 2 months.
I am not divorced from her, yet have not lived with her as husband and wife for at least 12 years now. I have however lived as domestic partners with another woman for 8 years.
She says me and my wife are not legally separated nor are we divorced. No legal court action has take place for either or.
Because of the time frame, am I considered in the state of Arizona, legally separated or divorced? Am I still legally married to my wife? To break the chains from her do I still need a legal court ordered divorce? My wife lives in Arizona and I live in Michigan.

You are legally married if a) you obtained a marriage license and that license was signed off by a qualified person with witnesses, then registered with the county.

Until a divorce is granted by the courts you remain married. Whether your separation is legal or not depends on the laws of your area,

Given the short span of the marriage you might be able to get an annulment instead of a divorce.
