    Bathroom exhaust fan venting
I am installing a bathroom in the basement and need to install an exhaust vent. There is a very spacious crawl space under the basement and the easiest way to run the vent is to exhaust into the crawl space. The crawl space is vented and as I said, it is very large (I live on a steep slope). Can I vent into the crawl space and still be within code? I live in NC.

This is NOT an electric code issue. You may want to post in the building section.

I can say that while not an end of the world violation considering the circumstances, it IS a violation nonetheless.

No, I believe that you need to vent to the outside.

If you vent into the crawl space, the fan will pull moisture from the bathroom. That moisture will in turn cause mold to grow.
