Does anyone know of insurance for outside sewer lines. (Ditto gas lines.)

I'll get you moved over to the plumbing desk so the plumbers can read this. Your home owners insurance will cover many things and you should check to see if it covers sewer pipe. If a pipe breaks, for example, right where it goes through the wall your insurance will likely cover the repair and all the damage and clean up. If you get a clog or tree root 30' out from the home you are on your own with Roto Rooter
