    Weird Behavior
    Hi,

I rescued a Miniature Australian Shepard from a bad breeder. He just turned a year old recently and aside from being a very very lazy dog, he has been great. A little skiddish which we have expected.

My problem is, ever since I've gotten him his shots (Rabies and distemper). He has began to eliminate in my home. Right in front of the bathroom door. He has been potty trained and I know he knows its wrong. He will go outside, pretend to mess, or just mess one little turd. Then when we come inside, after receiving his reward. He goes off to the hall by the bathroom door and eliminates more. I give him ample time outside, we usually walk around and sit and play for roughly 30 minutes, 3 times a day. This wasn't an issue until he got his shots at the vet. What can I do to fix this behavior?

I do have another question. More than likely one a bit more important than the question listed above.

My dogs testicles haven't dropped yet. The vet claims this is something I should show some concern over. But I've spoken with a few others that I know have puppies from this same litter. None of them have dropped as of yet. Is there a time frame I need to be looking at to check? He is due to go in and get surgery to remove them on Oct. 10th. My other concern with this is; I had a golden retriever and once I got him neutered he became a much calmer dog. Will this surgery have the same affect on my little S'mores as well? He is already too calm for a puppy at the tender age of 1 yr old.

Thanks in advance for reading through my mess of questions. I hope to find resolution soon.

I'm not sure about the potty business, that seems very strange to me, maybe it's an attention things; when it comes to the testicles, it is a good idea to have the surgery done no matter what it will do to his temperament. I'm not sure the exact time frame, but I know that my mini Dachshund's testicles never came down, and he ended up having something called Cryptorchid, meaning something along the lines of they just don't drop... anyway, they can swell inside them and compact the organs which may kill them, DEFINITELY get the surgery.

Undescend testicles can become cancerous and should be removed . The pup is a year old if they did not drop by themselves already they probably won't now. Neuter him, he will be happier and so will you
