    Disabled and deceased parent
My father is deceased and my mother is disabled and this means I have no help for college. Does any one know where to start looking for help?

Depending on the college that you would like to attend, a good place to start would be to contact or visit their financial aid office.

I'm hopeful that others will also come along to address your question.

A friend recently sent to me a website called FastWeb.com The largest and most complete source of scholarships available. Two questions, was your father in the military? There are scholarships available for their children. Is your mother on social security disability? There is money available to the children in that circumstance too. Most states have a scholarship program available and if you are in high school the school counsler would have the information. You should also search for education grants, that is also money you do not have to pay back. You can contact your state senator or congressmans office for information on availability.

You can most likely be eligible for a pell grant, again, as suggested visit your financial aide department about more information on this.
