    Troy built lawn mower.
I bought a lawn mower 2 yrs ago from Lowe's and the cut off bar you squeeze got harder and harder to squeeze and then the mower wouldn't start and the squeeze handle finally broke. I put in the model number and it and comes up no model number found. Now they can't tell me its obsolete already. But I need the squeeze bar and new cable that connects to the shut off part that goes against the flywheel. The model number of the troy built lawn moer is D09072CN. And this does not show of any kind of manual part for it. I got it to spark by tying off the cable but the motor turns about 4 times and shuts off. When I push the choke button 3 times it tries to run.
The model number is on the top of the plastic housing. Its cast rite in it.
    Can someone help me?

Are you dealing with Lowe's or Troybuilt? Lowe's sell but doesn't like to become your parts store like Sears does. Contact Troy. Troy-Bilt outdoor power equipment for lawn and garden

I'm dealing with Lowe's. I called them and they said there is nothing they can do as far as warrantys. Then I called troy built and they said I have to box up the old parts and send them to troy built. And your local lawn mower fix it shp doesn't cover warranties. They do have places strictly for troybuilt mowers like repair shops.your would friggen think the place would get you a new one for replacement and Lowe's would turn it in for credit.
It has a 3 yr warranty.

    KISS
Try Parts & Accessories | Shop & Find Lawn & Garden, Appliance Parts at Sears Parts Direct | SearsPartsDirect.com from Sears or MTD Products Landing Page. For the latter you'll need the serial number.

I used to live in waukegan and worked at ft sheridan. But anyway. I just contacted troybuilt and they said that there is a place to take it in elco nev. Its 3 hours west of me. This is so ridiculous. I'm going to just send the parts I need to them and have them send me the new ones. And also I told them about the owners manual and they said that they have it on there website in pdf form. I said when I put the model number of my mower in the search it doesn't come up so they are going to send the pdf file to me in my email. I tell you. I hate these third party people. And won't help you out. Lowe's was like they didn't care. They got there money from it. . It's a 6.5 hp self propelled mower.
It was excellent when it ran.
It did start on the 3rd pull like it said in the manual I lost.

KISS, I was not aware that Sears supported Troy. The second link eventually takes you back to my link in post #2. Sometimes these links leave me feeling like a mouse in a maze LOL

Equalizer, I know your frustration but keep in mind what the big box stores do well. They sells 10 thousands of products and can usually help link you to the manufacturer. Their business is based on volume sales, not support. As you have also found, sometimes the manufacturer isn't much better.
