How do I file an appearance for a divorce at the clerk's office?

I'm not sure what you mean by "file for an appearance." Whether you're filing for divorce or filing an amendment to a divorce agreement, the court will determine if a court date is required. If it is, they will schedule a date and tell you if/when your appearance is required.
