Michigan criminal law repeated violations of probations
How many times can you violate your probation before they sentence you to prison?
Original crimes are retail fraud in first degree ,unlawfully driving away with a vehicle and possession of marijuana and cocaine. I have six misdemeanors, seven felonies, including retail fraud 1st and 2nd degree and assault and battery and forgery. I have been a heroin addict since 2002. I spend more time in the county jail than free, but I continue to violate probation, at least six or seven times. I have never completed probation even before my drug addiction. Usually it's a technical violation but last time it was for criminal activity, possession of less than 25 grams of cocaine and marijuana.
Michigan criminal law can a probation officer influence a judge?
Thanks for a timely answer to my original question, regarding the number of times probation is violated and your answer informing me it's not how many but how much the judge is upset with you. My next questions are; Can or will a probation officer influence the judge? Do p.o. officer's typically lean toward the best interest of the person or the court? I have absconded from probation twice now and I fear my luck is running out. My only chance to stay out of prison will be overcrowding. Any insight you have will be appreciated.
