    Cannot fill up SD card
I have several 1GB SD cards I bought for my MP3 player. I believe they were factory formatted in FAT. I used a multimedia card reader to transfer the MP3 files on them. However, I could only transfer about 450MB (~95 files) or so then I got the message saying that "The directory or file cannot be created." I checked and the SD card has over 500MB free. If I put the files in separate folders, I can fill the SD card up, but my MP3 player only works if the MP3 files are in the root directory.

Please help! Any idea will greatly be appreciated it.

Not sure if this will help or not, you can try to format the mp3 player to FAT32 to see if that would make a difference

Right click on the mp3 player in windows explorer and choose format and pick FAT32
