    Child's birth certificate
My daughter is going on 3 years old and has the last name I had before married and now that I am married to her father I need to get her last name changed to his last name and her middle name is also miss spelled on the birth certificate and the fathers name is not on it either.
Please help me to find out how I can get all the name changing added and changed!

    Thanks so much,
    Tarica

A name change is a easy legal action done at your local court,
** which court will depend on location. You and the child's father merely goes down, files out a form and files it with the court. That will legally change her name.

If father is not on the birth certificate, he will need to prove his paternity either by letter ( if accepted in your area) or by DNA tests to the court.

If you are married to the father, then it should be fairly easy to get the because corrected. I would start with your local hall of records, but its likely you will need to bring this before a Family court judge.
