Children of different parents sharing a bedroom
I have a 2 year old son. His father wants him for visits on the weekends but only has a 1 bedroom apartmentment. His girlfriend and her 5 year old daughter also live there. Can I prevent him from visiting due to the sleeping arrangements?

I doubt it. At 5 and 2 there's no real threat sharing a room.

If something bad does happen then you might have a case, but until then I don't see how.

    Good luck.

Does have have court ordered visitation? If he does and he is allowed to keep him on weekends then no you can't stop him. Unless you want to be in contempt of court but I doubt you want that going against you. If there is no visitation then you might want to have that taken care of by a judge because then he will know when and for how long he can have the boy but there are worse living conditions than that.

No, and you should not even consider it. He has a right to see his child, if you have issues with him, take out them on him, do not use children as a weapon if you don't like the other spouse.

Children on sleep overs sleep on blow up mattress, sleeping bags, couches and more. And they survive. Be happy your ex wants to be part of the child life.

I don't understand why you would want to prevent such a visit based on a 5 yo and 2 yo having to share a room...

Maybe when he visits they should have a camp out in the living room or something... not that that would be any different than sleeping in the same bedroom...

There must be other reasons you are trying to prevent visitation, but if it is simply that you don't like your ex, I don't think it's right...
