My hair is very long and I have not taken good care of it in the past, I dyed it too much and so forth but lately I have tried to get it in better shape, I bought herbal essences long hair shampoo and conditioner and I would like to know if it is all right for long hair and what if anything is good for long hair also I am a poor cheepskate so I can't buy salon products I'm going for decent regular products

I have used Dove shampoos and conditioners I love the conditioners they make my hair so soft and silky. Try the Dove products

I have very long hair also and I use Pantene shampoo and Pantene conditioner. I buy the 10X which is specifically for dry or damaged hair. I love the smell and the way it makes my hair feel. I have never permed or color treated my hair though so the result could vary. As for cost, you can usually find it for about 8 dollars a bottle, and I'm talking about the big bottles. You have long hair so of course you know that you will have to use a lot. It seems I go through the conditioner a lot faster than I go through the shampoo.
