Cheapest way to connect a T1 line to a Network Switch
My company has an extra T1 TElCO line between Florida and Denver and I have a need to use this T1 line for a test and connect it directly two network switches on both ends of the T1.

I am looking for the least expensive way to connect the T1s on each end of the lines and since my bandwidth need is only 10 Mbps I do not care about having the latest and greatest hardware.

(BTW: we are trying to bypass complex expensive Apogee equipment to determine if we have an Apogee configuration error. Since we upgraded to a T3 we have an extra T1 network line for me to experiment with.)

I am hoping I can buy some old technology equipment on eBay or Craig's List for this experiment. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Here is some new stuff: T1 CSU/DSUs - Black Box®

What your looking for is a T1 DSU/TSU

A T1 will have only about 1.53 Mbps data rate.

Addtran also makes some CSU/DSU's that are not that expensive. You will need to find out from your telco if they supply line timing of if you will need to make one of your CSU/DSU's responsible for supplying the line timing.
