I am a consultant -- how do I track third party service costs?
Hi there! I am a PR consultant. I have vendors that I work with that distribute press releases. These would be press releases that I distribute for my clients. How do I track (classify in Quick Books) this expense and others (graphic design, purchase of images, sound editing) when they are not contracted labors that I would do a 1099 for, but rather a third-party vendor?
    Thanks!

As long as they are a corporation and have a federal I.D. # you don't have to do anything , but if a non-corp. party makes $600.00 or more you should give them a 1099 if they are a client or a third party. It doesn't matter.
