I had my belly button pierced about 5 months ago. My body rejected it, I never had an infection, but I'm left with this ghastly scar! Anyway, I'm concerned that they pierced the wrong place, the piercing isn't actually in my belly button, its on top of it on my belly button on my belly. I think the place where I had it done bodged the job up. What should I do?

I would go back to the store and ask them if this looks like the "Normal" place to have a belly button piercing. And then go to another place and ask them the same question and see if your answer's Very any.

I had my belly pierced twice... the first one I had to take out when I went to basic training for the army and closed after a short while. I went to another piercer a year later and they pierced behind the scar of the old hole and it has never closed. So long as its not infected I wouldn't worry about your health and the most common rejections are a small bump, kind of as if the skin from inside the hole is growing outside the hole. I would seek consult from another piercer and go from there.
