I have received a summons for a consumer credit trans action. I know I owe this money but I can not pay it still. If I loose the judgement can my salary be garnished. I can't claim bankruptcy cause I had one 8 years ago, and I know its every 10 years you can claim one. I can hardly pay my bills now, so I can not have money taken out, what can I do?

Garnishments cannot be filed in every State - what State are you in?

I live in New York city.
