    Support Calculation
    Hi,

I live in Michigan and am trying to determine if the spousal support I am currently paying will be considered as (her) income in future support calculations? Also, is a 401 disbursement that was cashed in considered income during future support calculations?

    Thanks in advance for replying.

Im hoping Im reading this right and the entire question is on spousal support.

Spousal support is a taxible item and therefore can be counted as income. But when doing the calculation for support its not sconsidered unless it were from another source. Was the 401k disbursment anything that she may have been entitled to ? Like 50/50 property state.
If its not in a lump sum then it may be considered income for the period it is in effect. Then it would be considered into calculations. Also remember that any spousal support you pay is also tax deductable for you. The payee is the one liable for the taxes on it.
