I live in PA and my father in FL. He recently stopped payment on a check for a loan he agreed to make to me after it was deposited because he was "mad at me" (swear to god). Do I have any legal recourse?

Were any papers signed agreeing to the loan?

He wrote "loan" in the memo section on the check

Not enough. He has the right to change his mind.
