Hi, hoping someone can help. Computer has both cd & dvd drives. If I insert a music cd, it is read by both drives, so they seem to read OK, but as soon as I insert a cd-rw I get the message 'please insert disk' on both the cd and dvd writers. I am using a Verbatim CD_RW 4x disk and if I use it on another machine it works fine. Any help appreciated.:)

Please list the complete model # of the CD and DVD drives that are being problematic. Also, list the model # of the machine that Verbatim CD-RW disk works on.

Lastly, list the software used to create the disk and what format was used.

CD-RW disks need to be "packet formatted" by your burner software to be used as a RW disk. That packet formatting is not standard and you need to software compatible with the formatting to read it.
