    Lizard compatibility
    Hey there!
I have a question about desert lizards that maybe you could answer for me.
I have a pet bearded dragon that is very friendly,
I want to get a Uromastyx, but I don't know if they can live together.
They are both desert lizards, and live in almost same habitats except that
    The Uromastyx cannot drink water.
So basically, can they live together and how detrimental is the "no water" factor to the Uromastyx?

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question!

    Wildlife007

I would NOT recommend this! Reptiles are solitary creatures by Nature. Male Lizards are notoriously territorial-it is a very strong instinct built in-due to the availability of food sources, and females within their territory, this is a behavior that has evolved strongly over time in their DNA. They will fight as they undergo changes in maturity-in most small lizards this occurs around two years of age. These bouts can be very violent and can lead to some serious injuries, even death!

Sounds like uromastyx is challenging to keep.

I would focus on giving it what it needs by itself without trying to also accommodate your bearded dragon in the same enclosure. I also agree with Wildlife007 that they might fight.
