Can you please help us I have contacted everyone that I could have possible contact but know seems to know how bad our living conditions really are I have picture if you would like to see I could send them bye email but please take the time out to investigate our problem the landlord is no where to be found we had a huge problem of trash in the back yard but finally the department of health kicked in an is currently taking care of that but as for the house we can't take a bath we can't wash our teeth we can't even us the bathroom without an umbrella the kitchen is about to fall down on us as for the rooms the same the basement is a total disaster please help us my mother in law works and goes to school so there is very little a person that leave around 7:30am and gets home by 9 sometimes 10:00pm we gave compliant to the landlord but he seems not to care in fact he cares so much that he does care for his rent money we have not seen him since nov. of last year that was when he said he was coming to fix thing and we are still waiting so can you please find it in your heart to help us o we are the one that has to supply the heat wich every body that lives here don't really have money heat cause we have to take care off clothing food light etc so it very rear when we can afford it that means winter is coming and we will freeze cause there's no heat and no hot water

Are these legal apartments? Why don't you move?

It looks like you've done all you can - I know you've tried the Health Department. Have you tried your local housing inspector?

Of course, if these are illegal apartments you will all be ordered to move but the landlord won't be able to collect rent OR re-rent them.

My other advice would be to remove your names from this post - info concerning you and the other tenants is available on line and I don't know if you want that known.

EDIT: If the on line records are correct this property is owned by the NYC Housing Authority. Is that correct - ?

AllI can see is move, the damage is way to serious to even have someone living there while it is being fixed.

And how long have you lived there, if the apartment is this bad and you have recently moved in, why did you rent something so bad.

Wow. If the landlord stopped asking for rent and you haven't heard from this person are you sure something hasn't happened to him/her like death? Or jail? It's possible I guess, which would mean that you're currently living in an abandoned house technically and literally - from the description it seriously sounds like you should move. Good luck.

The building appears to be owned by the Housing Authority - OP originally posted the address.
