I was previously employed at a TPA where I worked from home answering incoming calls regarding member's and provider's claims. The company being big on meeting your stats mandated that we had to take customer's eob's home and remail them. My question is are they in violation with us having these insured eob's nationwide without any shredders or any way of disposing this correctly. A new address is updated in our system and we are left with the physical copy in our possession. Unclear if there are any violations.

I believe they are in violation of you keeping these records at your home. They need to be properly disposed of via shreadding.
