I have a new Windows Vista laptop and am trying desperately to get rid of that annoying Yahoo Instant Messenger. It was easy on my old XP laptop through control panel and then add/remove programs, but that function is not available on Vista.

Sure it is.
Go to Start, Control Panel, Programs, the first choice is uninstall program.
Same process, different location.
Add/remove is now known as Programs in the control panel.
Then click on Installed Programs.
Finally highlight the program and click on File > Change/Remove.
Thanks you guys... yahoo messenger is out of here!
