Would it be smart to take it from best friends to relationship?
Two years ago I met a guy and we had an instant click. We grew closer and closer and eventually he broke up with his girlfriend (a decision he says he would have made whether he met me or not). We almost began dating but I chickened out. We have been bestest of friends ever since, and were both single for a lonnng time. He then got a girlfriend, who is leaving to take a GAP year at the end of this year. They have been together 9 months now. Neither of them wants to commit to a long distance relationship so it is ending. This guy and I plan to go take our own holiday together overseas for our school- uni break, we always tell each other we love each other.. always have. He is like a platonic boyfriend to me, but I think I truly do love him.. maybe! I feel like I do.. im myself around him and he is always there for me.. its so hard to describe! He knows absolutely everything about me and we enjoy our time together it amazing. We mean it when we say we love each other.. but I TRULY DO LOVE HIM! YET he is in a relationship with someone.
Should I tell him how I feel when she leaves? Would it be smart to go with him overseas when he has just broken off a relationship?
It would be the first relationship I have been in to in a long time.. I love him. But I don't want to be a rebound or get hurt either..
What if when she comes back after a year he leaves me for her? My friend keeps telling me to watch out.. .
