I would only ask for a hysterectomy for specific medical conditions, not for birth control. Why not a tubal ligation?

First it is not a hospital, ( while it may be done at a hospital) but it would be your doctor that would do the operation.

And no, that is not normally a procedure for birth control. First there are pills, patches, and other birth control methods. Next as mentioned if you wish surgery it you would have what is normally called "having your tubes tied"

You need to sit down with your doctor and discuss what birth control method would best fit your need.
