    Wheel Bearings
How do I go about repacking wheel bearings on a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis?

I'm unfamiliar with your vehicle, but most modern-day cars have hubs. You might be able to press out the sealed bearings, but most people just replace the whole hub when the time comes.

Here's the basic procedure for repacking open wheel bearings:

Remove inner and outer bearing seals and bearings. Clean bearings in kerosene, inspect for damage, allow to dry (don't spin bearing with compressed air), thoroughly pack bearings with high temperature disc brake wheel bearing grease (simple bearing packers are available), and reinstall bearings with new seals. Fun job.

Wheel bearing is sealed; thereby making it ungreasable. Sorry, I wish I had better news for you! :(

Actually, you can't do and so don't have to do anything. The front bearings are sealed into the front hub and are virtually maintenance free.
If a front hub bearing should cause a concern, it is only replaced with the hub and bearing assembly.
The scary thing is, that hub is kind of pricey! It includes a wheel speed sensor for the Anit-Lock Brake System (ABS), so if it needs replaced...
