Please help identifying this movie. A classic, perhaps black and white. The hero is looking for his opponent in the saloon. He notices blood dripping into a glass on the bar/table and realizes that his foe is upstairs, bleeding through the ceiling.

That sounds like a scene from Rio Bravo, where John Wayne, the sheriff, is tracking down a dude that just shot at him and Dean Martin. He goes into the saloon, which is filled with blokes that are hostile to him, and they're all "Who? What guy?" Then he sees blood dripping onto the bar from the loft above.
