My x is a convicted child molester and is seeking visitation with our children. He has recently been released from prison on charges of raping my daughter (who was 12) which put him away for a while. Would like to terminate his parental rights and my fiancé wants to adopt them. They have not seen their father in over 3 years.
I have also tried removing my ex partners parental rights who has also been to prison for violence and basically got told not a chance you need the father to sign them over. My current partner who has bought my child up for 6 yrs can't adopt him eigher.. my child's real father ia a heroin addict an he took me to court and I just point blankly refused him any contact if I feel any of my children is in any danger what so ever I will protect them no matter what the out-come...
Well that an good thing that your fiancé wants to abopt u. u should let him because the father of them kids an'nt suppose to be around them kids or your daughter at all so you should let him adopt so you could one big happy family so if you want to know if your doing the right thing yes you are now if this man helps you take care of these kids and he's right for you follow you heart everything will work out :)Quote:

Children cannot be adopted unless the natural parent agrees. Only married people in a stable marriage - usually over 1 year - can adopt. Fiancés don't count.
The Court will not approve removing the father's rights on both counts - no agreement and no stable marriage.
