I have two 240 V circuits that run from the house to the garage. I would like to install arc fault type breakers on each of those circuits. I have read tkrussels posting of Sept. 15, 2007 and believe I am looking for a 2 pole with neutral arc fault breaker to replace the current tied double breaker. Do they make those in 30 Amp and 40 Amp sizes?

I have found some straight GFI types listed but not arc fault.

Arc faults only come in 15 and 20 amp. Two-poles are available, but are hard to find.

I have to ask, WHY in the world would you want to do this??

Arc faults are most commonly installed in a bedroom, GFCI in a garage, bathroom or kitchen. Try to answer Stanfortyu's question for us.

The 240V run is over an unheated breezeway and into a garage that is not sealed the best. I know there are occasionally mice out there and it seemed the prudent thing to do in case they decided to chew on the wires.

Arc fault breaker 20A/2poles how mucht cost and where I can found it

Try a real electrical supply house. They can give you the best answer to this.
