    Sony Cybershot won't click.
    Hi
I have a sony cybershot p100 which has all of a sudden started giving problems.
The issue is that it refuses to take pictures.
When I press down th click button the picture doesn't come on the LCD screen.

I am not so sure of what's going on here.Calling sony support they asked me for 120$ to start with.
I did a reset but still of no help.
So I was wondering let me try this website before I plan to do away with the camera.
I got a 60$ memory stick some months back for the camera... damn it!
    Help...

    Hello,

This could be many problems. Here are some tips to help you try to determine if it's anything you can fix.

    1) Download the photos to your computer. It's possible that the problem is in the "playback" mode, and that the photos are in your camera, but just don't display on the screen after you take the photos.

    2) Make sure your battery is fully charged.

    3) Make sure your memory card is properly inserted. Try removing the card and then taking a photo - the camera should give you an error (e.g. "no card detected"). Insert the card and try again.

If none of these work or help, then you probably need to get a new camera. These cameras are usually not worth repairing as the cost to repair them is often more than the camera is worth once a camera is out of warranty. (BTW, this is ONE good place to get an "extended warranty" because those warranties usually allow you to apply your purchase price towards a replacement model rather than have your older camera repaired.) If you get a new camera you can get one that takes the same type of memory, and then your new memory stick will work in your new camera, so you won't lose that.

    Good luck.
