    Maytag dryer doesn't dry
Help my Maytag Dryer doesn't dry. I have cleaned out the lint trap and dryer vent hose and still not heat. Anyone have any other suggestions?

If you are sure the vent is clear, the heating element may be bad.

You need to check the entire vent run all the way to the outside vent hood; there may be a lint plug somewhere along it. Make sure the flapper in the vent hood is free to move.
If the heating element (generally is a set of coiled heating wires similar to a space heater) is bad you will see a break or open somewhere along it. Take it in to Sears and sweet-talk them into testing the element for free.
There is also a ceramic resistor and a bit of circuit board to control the heater. Many libraries have books on dryer repair
