1999 Honda Accord - Air Conditioning not working
1999 Honda Accord 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 90000 miles

Couple of months back my A/C stopped working, I took it to a local mechanic and he told me that it’s because of the blown fuses and he got it replaced, after couple of days back it stopped working, he replaced the blown fuse one more time.

He is unable to diagnose the issue; he told me that it might be due to the cigarette lighter as I am using it to charge my GPS.

One more thing that I noticed is that my charger is working, still the A/C stopped so if the problem is with the lighter as per my mechanic, then how come the charger is working fine.

Today again the A/C stopped working, I am really not interested in changing the blown fuses

Please let me know if you have any idea about the issue.

Also let me know, where can I find the fuse in my car.

Im not an experst but ill try to help.. 1st off if the a/c doesent work and the lighter charger is still working it can't be on the same fuse, meaning the a/c and lighter run off different fuses. 2nd off,if a fuse is allways blowing there must be a short some where, check all your plug ins around the a/c unit, could just be a wire that has been rubbing against someing and when it makes contact with metal it shorts and blows the fuse.As for where you fuse box is located,it should be under the steering whel, there's a cover that has maybe 2 screws and a couple snap s, if its not there another place to look is on the drivers side against the dash, mite be a little compartment with a door that just snaps in and out. Some cars have a fuse box under the hood also.Hope this helps abit and good luck.
