My parents are filing for guardianship custody of my 3 yr old nephew. She also has a 7 yr old daughter and a 7 month old son. Those 2 children are not my brothers. Her and my brother have been together for 5-6 yrs. This last baby she had.. she cheated on him and got pregnant by another man. Lied her whole pregnancy till the baby came out and he wasn't caucasian. They have both done drugs and she's currently abusing alcohol. Today she filed for custody of my nephew. She leaves the kids wherever.. whenever. Sleeps all day. Do you have any advice for me?

Yes, get your parents to talk with their attorney and do what he says.

File for a dna test to b sure that the child is your brothers and that your parents are doing what is best for their grandchild . Go to your local human resources deprtment and ask for their help, depending on what state you live in grandparents have just asmuch rights as do parents of the child . Good luck with this .

I am not aware of any State where the grandparents have the same rights as the parents. What State are you in?
