I am connected to direct TV and all of the sudden I am not getting any sound at all on my TV, not even static. The picture is fine and it's not the receiver because I checked it with 3 other tvs in the house. I even tried unplugging the TV for 8 hours hoping that it would resolve the issue by setting it back to factory mode but it didn't work. Also when I go into the menu for the TV it won't let me change any of the settings in audio and I tried another rca remote also, still nothing happened. Does anyone have a resolution to this problem?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using the red, white and yellow cables?
I'v seen people hit mute on Cable remotes before and not know what happened.

What was it?

While I was cleaning I accidentally flipped the internal/external speaker switch in the back of the TV in the opposite direction. I guess I shouldn't be such a fuss budget about dust.
