Clindoxyl Gel, bringing acne vulgaris to surface?
I've never had a problem with my face, up until I became a cosmetician. After I had, I found that I began to break out badly (combination of excitement about trying new makeups, new skin creams, and stress). I quit my job (non-skin related reasons), and I've begun to use clindoxyl gel. I've found that I've been breaking out more, but the severity of breakouts is lessened. I do not breakout in cysts, or nodules anymore, just smaller 'pimples'.
I'm wondering, does the gel bring the inperfections to the surface? There is a good difference in my face, but the waiting is terrible. I do realize that acne takes a while to fully develop, so I'm wondering if clindoxyl is just speeding it up, to get it all out?

This combination product contains two medications, clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide. Clindamycin belongs to the family of medications known as antibiotics. Benzoyl peroxide is a medication that has antibacterial effects and is a peeling agent. This combination product is used to treat certain types of acne. It works by killing bacteria that cause acne and by peeling off skin cells.

I think what you are experiencing is the result of the peeling action of the benzoyl peroxide. It is gradually exfoliating your skin.
