DO I need to see a doctor?
I've been having wide mood swings with my fiancé and sleeping a lot. Im already naturally skinny but I've also lost a significant amount of weight lately. My sex drive isn't like it used to be. I;ve been crying a lot. And haven't held a job in the past couple of months because I get short with people or have grown too careless and want to stay home and sleep. I argue constantly with my fiancé over nothing. He has been very patient and the best guy ever through this whole situation. I just want to be happy and have people enjoy being around me again.

This could be a time in your life (we all go through it) that maybe you are just depressed in how things are going. You may want to go and consult a therapist and or a doctor to see if everything health wise is OK and mentally. What has happened in the last few months that has made you feel like this? Anything changing in your life right now or changed a while back?

I agree with startover. It does sound like depression to me, but you need to be see a medical doctor first.
Sometimes a very small thing can make us become depressed.

I got engaged back in July. My fiancé and I both kind of cheated on each other. I live an hour away from my family so I miss them a lot. I've had a misscarriage back in May. We've also been trying to get pregnant again but its not happening anymore. On September 3, 2004, my dad passed away, so that's added to my stress over the past couple of days. And I'm not doing the best financially my checks automatically go to bills so I never have extra money to buy things for myself or stuff I need to get for my apt like toilet paper or trash bags. I have trouble sticking to a budget. And I'm carless so we've been relying on my fiance's transportation. We both go to school and work. Its just hard.

Sounds to me like you need to talk to a psychiatrist about your emotional problems. Crying, temper, lack of interest in working, dip in sex drive... and, possibliity of you wanting to get pregnant to solve your problems... pregnancy would be THE WORST thing for all involved.

I think one of the main problems is that you are over your head and can't handle your life. You ideally should live at home and go to school, get emotional support from your parents, and leave the boyfriend and half your work go for now until you get your mind back on an even, stable keel.

Nothing good comes from decisions made when a person is in the throes of mental anguish. Nothing.

Live and learn, girl, best wishes, :)

Depression. You should see a doctor. They can get you meds and get you to a counselor. Good luck!

Does sound like classic depression. If the symptoms are recent and you don't have a history of it you might try getting more exercise for a couple of weeks before you see the doctor. Sometimes something as simple as that can bring you out of it if it's mild. Otherwise, definitely time to see a doctor and get some counseling. Try to leave medication as a last resort though, a lot of anti-depressants have serious side effects and the possibility of addiction. So if you can improve without drugs it's always best to do it that way.
