    I'm Finally Pregnant!
    Ok, here's my story...

I have kept a journal of when I start my period since September or last year, and they have all been about the 13th or 14th of every month. However, my last period started on July 10th. I haven't had a period since.

On August 30th, I took a HPT, and it came up positive. That was sometime in the evening. So, first thing in the morning (August 31st), I took another HPT... and IT came up positive.

Has anyone ever heard of a false POSITIVE? Without the person taking any kind of fertility pills or anything like that. It's just a normal "missed my period--took a HPT---it came up positive TWICE!

    Any advice?

As long as you read it within the time limits, it's an accurate positive... congrats... :)

J_9, I have been checking and checking these answers every few minutes since I posted this question... looking for your response.

Do you think that 2 positive tests are enough? Allen, my husband, thinks we should go to a clinic and get a pregnancy test done there. Which they are going to do a "urine-test" also. What would be the point? Is there a difference in the tests they use and the $15 tests you can buy at Walgreens?

Sorry I wasn't on sooner, I was coming home from my son's farewell party. He is heading off to Iraq.

Now, all doctors offices will do pregnancy tests just to confirm pregnancy. The tests really aren't much different, just done a different way. They have to do these tests for the medical record.

So, in essence, make your first prenatal appointment tomorrow. And congrats again.

My husband and I went to the Clinic at the school and they confirmed the pregnancy. Then we went to the Family Care Center (for medicaid... both going to school and only me working so far... ). The FCC needed 'clinical proof of pregnancy'. The school didn't give us that, so we just paid $9 to get another test done.

It was a urine test, and -not only did they confirm pregnancy- but they told me that I was 7 weeks and 6 days along, and that the expected due date is April 15th!

As of today, I am 8 weeks and a day!

    Congrats!!

Far as I know the only false positive you would get is right after having a baby ;0) because the hormones are still running through your body...
