    Pipes shaking
Recently, whenever we run the water from various sources in the house, the pipes start to shake and make a lot of noise. The shaking and noise are occurring right at the water meter in the basement. It is somewhat intermittent in that it doesn't always happen. We have had no recent construction or changes. What could be causing this?

Do you have a PRV,(Pressure Reducing Valve) installed next to the meter? Let me know, Tom

Could be county or city is increasing your water pressure. May need to tak steps to prevent pipes from shaking by using some form of strapping material.
