I read this book in my teens and really liked it but cannot remember the title. I only remember bits of it. It was about this young girl visiting her cousin and she stumbles on a fairy world and the fairy prince or king falls in love with her cousin and she ends up meeting this guy near the end who helps her defeat some kind of giant worm or snake or something. If she eats anything while in the fairy world or touches something she'll be stuck there. She ends up getting sick somehow and ends up being saved by the guy she meets near the end and his grandmother and the guy is some kind of prince or something. She also meets a leprachaun in the book. I think at the end in the last battle, the guy she meets gets his hand burnt off to the bone or something. I know it might sound crazy but it was a really great fantasy novel I loved and I wanted to find it for my own daughter to read but its hard when you can't remember the title! :) Hope someone can help!
