My hamster is really really old he is fat or bloated I can't tell!! :confused: It doesn't look normal all his fat is at his thighs. He's extremely lazy and only gets out of his nest if he has to go to the bathroom, eat, or drink. I have a wheel inside his cage but he doesn't use it!! :mad:

I hate to say this, but it sounds like hammy is nearing the end of his life. Hamsters can live anywhere from 2 to 4 years, if you get to 2 then consider yourself blessed. It sounds like your hammy is just old and tired.

Now, there is one other possibility. Hamsters hybrinate, and if the room he's in is too cold he'll go into hybrination mode. He'll sleep allot, not eat much and won't exercise. Try putting him in a warmer room.

Other than that, just love him, keep him comfy and well fed and enjoy him. They are wonderful little animals, sadly their life span is not long.

I am not shure but it sounds like you just need to wake him up pull him out and make him get some exercise. You can also buy a ball for it and that also helps get exercise because he will be running around your house.
