I was watching a movie in the 90s there was a a carpenter (I think,not sure)who appeared in a small town calling himself a Jesus and there was a cop who lost his believe in God when he was young because hi lost his mother in the fire when he was little .The cop tried To accuse the carpenter of lying ,but when his blind daugther gets vision, he started think about carpenter differently. Also everyone who ever helped him had a black fingernail ! Sorry ,it is very little I can remember ,may be someone watched this film as well ,so can possible help me to find out the movie title.
