    New puppy unknown history
My wife recently "rescued" a small hound puppy someone abandoned in our local park. We estimate it to be about 10 weeks old, she has been with us about 6 weeks now. In the last few days, she started to develop a redness around her eyes and on the top of her head. Her sight has not been disturbed, and her pupils are still clear and eyeballs still white. I have 2 large dogs, but they never exibited symptons like this.
I did a little research online and came across something called "redeye" prevalent in beagles, requiring surgery to correct. I can not get to a vet for several days because of the holiday weekend. Is there anything I can do to alleviate the redness and swelling safely while waiting for a professional? I don't think it is redeye because the membranes of her eyes are undisturbed, it appears to be more topical, perhaps an allergy or infection. My wife is worried the dog could lose her eyesight while waiting to get treated. What can we do ?

Is there no emegency clinic in your area?

I don't know - is redeye the same as cherry eye?
