Hi there

I have been with my partner for just over 2 years and we are now getting married. I have a son who is just coming up to 2 years old but he isn't the biological father.

He has asked to adopt him but I am unsure of the process that we would have to go through? Would it be better for him to adopt him or foster him?

All answers would be greatly appreciated.

Well "foster"? That is just being your husband and having no legal relationship with the child.

To adopt, the non custody parent will sign over their rights, and you go to court and adopt

You would only have the option of adoption or not adopting. You foster children that do not have parents... or parents that have lost temporary or permanent rights to their children.
