    Changing motion detector switch
Hey guys, I need some help replacing a motion detector switch. It's a manual on-auto off switch from leviton. I want to replace it with an auto on-auto off switch from cooper.

The existing switch has 5 wires connected to it. 1 red, 1 white, 2 black and 1 ground and it controls 3 pendents light in my kitchen. I'm not sure what wires are going in/out of the switch from the light/panel. The replacement switch only has 3 wires, 2 black and a ground.

The existing motion switch is mounted beside 2 separate 3 way switches that control other lights in the kitchen.

I'm totally confused how to connect the wires. Any help? The Pendent lights are only controlled by the motion switch.

    Thanks!

Hey I'm going to need a little more info from you in order to correctly answer your question.
How many different locations can your pennant lights be controlled.
Have you removed the old timer that you are replacing, and if so do you have the model # which is usually on a sticker on the side, or back of your device? Let me know what it is if you find it.
Are your three pennant lights controlled separately?
What is the model # of the new Cooper switch?

Hi Tommy. My mistake. There are 4 wires. 1 Red, 1 White, 1 Black and a ground. The 3 pendent lights are controlled from one location. Not sure what the model number of the old and new switches are.
