I got pregnant before my husband and I got married. The child is his, but we are going to be legally separated. Can he sign over his parental rights to me before my child is born? The likelihood is that he cannot sign over his rights period. A termination of parental rights is rarely granted. When it is, its almost always to clear the way for an adoption. On rarer occasions its because the parent is a danger to the child. In no case would a TPR be granted to allow the parent to get out of supporting the child.

So, I would forget about even trying for one. When the child is born, file for full custody or do it as part of the divorce and ask for child support.
