I am a single mother of to a 6 yr old and a 3 month old, the father of my 6 yr old has not been an active parent in my child's life he comes and goes when he pleases, he did not come into my child's life until he was 3, and since then has rarely been involved, he has made death threats to myself and child, and since I have moved on and had another child he has gotten worse, he actually showed up to one of my offices looking for me claiming I took his daughter, me and him do not have a daughter. The security at the office was very concerned gave him no info. In turn the father of my oldest got angry and his behavior was unexcusable, I was warned and after this acts and the threats I filed for an order of protection. I would like to take him to court to get his rights taken away, he has a bad cocaine abuse problem and I do fear his behavior may get worse. How and can I have his rights taken from him?

No matter who or what he is, you cannot strip him of his parental rights under these circumstances - you can keep him from seeing the child, you can get a protective order, you can have him arrested (as can your employer). But you can't strip him of his rights.

What does your custody order say about visititation? If you don't have one, I'd get one!

Was he a cocaine user and volatile at the time you got pregnant with his child?

Do you know of a time and place that he will have drugs on him? If so call in a tip to the drug taste force so he can be arrested. Until then it isn't likely the judge will grant a TPR but as Judy said you can get a protective order against him for you and your family.
