    C++ Runtime Error with Pagis Viewer
    Greetings;

    I have been using Callwave and the Pagis Viewer for several years. Currently on a Compaq Presario F730US, Vista platform. 3 weeks ago, when trying to open a Pagis XIF file, Windows returns a C++ runtime error :Abnormal Program Termination". I can't find a solution for this anywhere. Any Ideas? I've uninstalled, rebooted and reinstall fresh copies, I system restored to before this started, I just down know how to solve this.

    This happens on EVERY file you try to access with this program? Can you create new files of your own? Are you able to use the program in any way at all?

    JB;

    This error only occurs when I attempt to open a TIF or XIF file with Pagis Viewer. Those files already on the hard drive I can open with the Windows Picture Gallery, but the files on Callwave, I can't open with anything. I haven't found a solution, nor have I found a utility to convert them to another type of file.

    Thanks - David

    The move to Vista hasn't been a good one? When did you move over? Any other software installed recently that could muck up your previously working setup?

    The system you're on NOW, how long did the software function properly? I'm not a user of either of those products, so general troubleshooting I would say:
    • If it's never worked right on THIS computer, use a different one, an older one, if necessary
    • If it DID work and worked well for a long time, then a SYSTEM RESTORE back to some point back when that was true should work

    Good luck.

    Oh, also, the Callwave or Pagis Support Forums or user groups...
