How good are the Goodman brand of AC units?

As good as the install

Wouldn`t trade one for a high dollar carrier-trane or any other high dollar unit,, as long as its put in right,, also they have as good or maybe better warranty than a lot of others

At one time Goodman was not well thought of but now they are as good as the rest. Like it is said above the installer makes the difference.

Not bad as long as the seer rating is high. They are a little noisy.
But if it's installed right they are reliable
