Coffee in moderation is OK, almost anything in moderation is OK in pregnancy. Except alcoholic beverages, also you may want to steer clear of very sugary drinks (juice, soda), they may contribute to extra weight gain.

I would recommend talking to your doctor about this. More than a small amount of caffiene is a no-no during pregnancy because its been shown to cause developmental delays in a growing fetus.

Think of it this way, anything that goes in your bloodstream also goes through your unborn fetus. So with that in mind, think of what you want to put in your body that benefits you in the long run, ergo, your happy healthy baby because he/she has been fed properly through you.

Good case in point is a pregnant woman on cocaine and wanting to go off it, goes through withdrawals, and when the baby is born, the baby has to go through withdrawals as well. Same with hard alcohol. Baby can be born dependent on just about anything the mother ingests.

Remember, that whatever you put in your mouth, goes into your baby's mouth. Plain and simple,
